Stay flexible with our new client personal training packages
We have just launched three new personal training packages for our clients, which will enable you to tailor your fitness journey with the best package to suit your lifestyle and budget. Each package primarily leads with the 1 hour private 121 session and then depending on the level you choose additional benefits to include any time training, no price reviews, and remote nutritional tracking. Our packages are aptly named Gold, Silver, and Bronze and here is what they include: Gold Package: Our Gold package provides the very best in private 121 personal training, including a range of other benefits. The Gold package allows our clients to train any day or time that they wish, including all peak times. You can also enjoy the full benefits of the Elysium studio, which includes remote nutritional tracking, semi-private training, large (or bulk) packages available and our recipe book. Those who choose the Gold package will never be subject to price reviews. The price you pay remains the same. Silver Package: Our Silver package offers similar benefits to our Gold package, but the main difference is that it does not allow you to train anytime during peak periods, but does allow training anytime during off-peak periods. Bronze Package: Finally our bronze package allows you to book sessions week by week, making it an ideal package for those who can be flexible with their training times and want a great wallet-friendly deal. Whilst the bronze package doesn’t offer all of the benefits of our Gold and Silver, it still offers true private personal training, nutritional advice, our 6 week APM (Assess, perform and monitor) assessment and the train anytime option being subject to availability. Package Pricing & Commitment: All packages are subject to availability and operate a first come first serve basis. To take advantage of one of our packages – all we ask is that you commit to at least one session per week. There is no notice period required you can cancel whenever you wish. The price of each package depends on the number of sessions you book and is broken down as follows: GOLD: 1 session a week = £50 2 sessions a week = £45 3 sessions a week – £40 SILVER: 1 session a week = £35 2 or more sessions per week = £30 BRONZE: 1 session a week = £25 2 or more sessions per week = £20 Special Offers: If the above three packages aren’t suitable then we have also recently launched our Special Offers which you may have seen us promoting them across social media. Welcome to the team Jo
We are really pleased to welcome Jo Bridge to the Elysium team as a Personal Trainer. Jo’s qualifications include level 3 in personal training, level 3 in pilates, dynamic kettlebells and pre and postnatal training. In addition to this, she is an England Athletics running coach. Jo first became involved in the fitness industry in 2012 after signing up for her first marathon. Prior to this, she had little interest in fitness beyond keeping herself relatively active and hated running. So seeing how her own training was inspiring others to take up running and exercise made her realise that she wanted to take up a career in fitness and since then she has never looked back. Jo says ‘Since working as a personal trainer, I have helped many people achieve their goals including regaining core strength after having a baby to completing a triathlon. One of our main principles is that we don’t employ Personal Trainers to be sales people; their main role is to be fully committed to training our clients and help them reach their goals. This means our PT’s get to do what they love – train clients and be rewarded with a great work-life balance too. Our second principle is that we equip them with the best training and educational tools, which is why we introduced Elysium Education Services Each week we invite an industry-related organisation/group/ person to come and talk to our team about a variety of topics including nutrition, medical, anatomy, industry technology, procedures and equipment, which will help improve their knowledge and skills. It keeps the team up to date with important information and adds value to their PT sessions and beyond. This investment benefits our clients as we can be confident they are receiving the very best in personal training and on-going advice and support. We are thrilled to be launching our very own healthy eating High-Performance recipe book. These delicious recipes have been designed to be made quickly and easily and are full of high nutrient values to help you get the best out of your body and help you achieve your performance goals. Some of our favourites include black forest overnight oats, parmesan roasted cauliflower, and prawn linguine. Each Elysium client will be receiving a copy of the book, to try out some of its 30 delicious nutritious recipes. How to start dropping fat & body weight straight away
A lot of people ask about dropping fat and body weight, so here is really quick insight to give you the first step into achieving this and it’s pretty simple, the answer is… calorie deficit! You’ll need to be in a negative energy balance, meaning your energy output is greater than your energy input, in other words… you need to eat less than you use! If you achieve this, you will drop fat and body weight. It’s the reason why all ‘diets’ work as all they are doing are putting you into a calorie deficit. Now… before the nutrition police have something to say about quality of food, remember that calorie deficit doesn’t mean you starve yourself or deprive the body of what it needs, it just means control how much is going in to put you into a negative energy balance. Remember that good nutrition controls energy balance and body composition, so it’s still important to ensure that you are eating those nutrient dense whole foods. If you are unsure of what foods are high in nutrients, just give ‘superfoods’ a quick google. So how many calories should you be eating? There are several methods that can be used for this and it depends what your preferred method is. Counting calories & food diaries such as myfitnesspal for me prove the most effective ways, but determining how many you as an individual need as a deficit has a number of factors such as activity level, stress state & lifestyle, so it does lend itself to some trial/error and adjustments. Here’s a preferred formula that you can use:Bodyweight (lbs) x 10-14 So if Charlie is 80kg he will multiply this by 2.2 so his bodyweight is 176lbs x 10-14, so his calorie will be between 1760Kcal and 2464Kcal. If Charlie was not very active he would probably be want to consume the lower number and if he’s very active the higher. Try it for a week and see how you get on, if it’s not achieving the desired results, you adjust by increasing your physical activity level or reduce your calories slightly until you’re achieving the desired result.
