Our small group personal training program is designed so you will be successful in all the components of fitness being coached and delivered to the highest standard to unlock your fitness potential and maximise results.
Definition – create (something) strong, enduring, or successful.
Our main small group personal training sessions are delivered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Each day focuses on exercises around key body movements (push, pull, hinge, squat, lunge), switched each week to keep it fun and varied.
Delivered with high standards of coaching, these sessions are suitable for everyone at all levels with scaled back options and alternative exercises available.
They start with a specific warm up, followed by a main strength exercise, concluding with a short workout of the day (WOD) to develop your functional fitness.
At the end of each session, you can track your performance on our app to ensure you are constantly getting stronger, faster and fitter!
Form and progress compounds!
“Do it light, Do it right!”
Our Wednesday workshop is where we break down technique and strip movements back to basics.Â
Each session focuses on a key movement or exercise which you will learn to do correctly without the pressures of going heavy or fast.
With a specific warm up to mobilise, stretch and activate the muscles used for the movement of the day (MOD), we will break down each movement for you and build it back up into the correct form.
We will then finish the workshop with a circuit to build strength, improve mobility and flexibility in that movement or exercises.
You will learn crucial skills to transfer into the other sessions or other areas of your training.
Build your engine, boost your endurance, break your limits!
Our Accelerate engine builder on weekend sessions are geared towards boosting aerobic capacity, muscular endurance and power through functional movement.
With effective hybrid training these sessions will increase calorie burn and turn you into a well-rounded athlete.
Often working in pairs or a team to champion each other in our inclusive tight-knit supportive community, you’ll enjoy the benefits of constant progression while forming friendships with like-minded people along the way.
Continuing to build through good form and technique, these high energy workouts will take your fitness to the next level!

Not a lot of people will know this about me, but once upon a time I was very overweight and led an incredibly unhealthy lifestyle. I lacked confidence, so through the pain of experience, I am full of empathy when it comes to people starting out on their fitness journey and I understand that the heaviest weight in most gyms can be the front door!
Im very passionate about helping people and I use personal training as a tool to do that!
For me, I love the overall effects a client experiences when achieving their goals. Whether it’s a clients confidence gained from losing weight, the sense of achievement of completing an event they never thought they would be able do or the freedom they have attained when they become free of limitations and pain to keep up their family.
After 14 years in the fitness industry, I’ve been lucky to gain experience in many areas including:
I’m originally from Ellesmere Port near Chester and after changing my life around I felt I needed more direction, so I joined the Army in which I served for several years, completed numerous operations tours, and became a physical training instructor.
I then went onto other roles after the army including security, retail management and sales. Â
But I found my true calling in Personal training. After being successful working as a freelance personal trainer in total fitness Chester. I wanted to improve my own service by offering clients a private personal training experience and that is how Elysium was born in 2016.
Since 2016, we have also expanded our fitness operations throughout Cheshire by setting up more studios just outside Tarporley and in our new state of the art facility in Frodsham
During my childhood, I wasn’t very active. I would consistently finish near last place during cross country runs. I once said to a teaching assistant, “I think I’ll work an office job when I’m older, miss.” I couldn’t have been more wrong!
When I reached high school, I had 2 amazing teachers who got me interested in rugby. From that, a love of the gym appeared, then a love of athletics. Then I became county champion for indoor rowing and competed at a national level for 100m sprint and discus.
I know how amazing it feels to get into training for the first time. And how rewarding it can be when you get good at it. I hope I can guide people to a similar experience.
I absolutely love getting to work with people all day, and I think there is something really amazing about getting to know the people that train here, helping them make lifestyle changes and become versions of themselves they are more proud of and happy with. It is a privilege.
I also love how much there is to learn.
Strength and conditioning. I have a big interest specifically in muscle hypertrophy and helping people progress with their weight training. I love showing people how to measure and take progressions on lifts using more than just weight and reps.
I will take literally any excuse I can to go on a hike. I have done the West Highland Way, the National 3 Peaks, the Welsh 3000s 24hr challenge (every mountain above 3000ft in Snowdonia National Park), and once walked from Bangor to the summit of Snowdon. As a result, I understand how to train for endurance events like this. I love wild swimming. I love reading. I am an avid home cook and a terrible baker.
I got into fitness coaching over 10 years ago now whilst studying sport science at Chester University and I started coaching and personal training at the gym on the campus. I always knew I had a passion for fitness from a young age, I played every sport possible when I was younger and started circuit training from the age of 13 with my parents to get fitter for my sports I was undertaking.Â
I left the fitness industry when I became a full-time firefighter in 2017, but it didn’t take me too long to get back into coaching when I completed my level 1 crossfit coaching qualification and started coaching at the local crossfit gym back in 2022.Â
I decided to get back into personal training and coaching when I was given the opportunity to coach at Elysium Tarporley, and since looking forward to my journey to make this a successful career.Â
For me I have always loved coaching classes, I really enjoy a great class atmosphere and seeing how much confidence it can give people. With a good community, it gives people the confidence and enjoyment to keep coming back and make great friends along the way.Â
My specialities are in conditioning and giving good coaching advice to make people move better all the time, whether they have been training their whole life or if they are completely new to exercise, there is always ways to move better and become stronger. I believe the more functional movements we do and keep the body moving in the right way, the better the results will be.Â
My main hobbies and interests are football and Crossfit, unfortunately for some I am a big Liverpool fan! I have been training Crossfit for almost 10 years now which has given great knowledge into different styles of fitness that can be coached.Â
